Venue Finding Services Manchester

Manchester is known for its warehouses, cotton mills, railway viaducts and canals as you’d expect from the first modern, industrial city, but it is also full of iconic architecture, from the Beetham Tower and the Town Hall to the Daniel Libeskind-designed Imperial War Museum North and the Lowry cultural centre in the revitalised Salford Quays dockyards.

As far as hotels go, Manchester has something for every budget; from top end luxury to budget. Whilst it doesn’t have meeting space, we have to mention the utterly fabulous Hotel Gotham – 5* indulgence at its best. Located on King Street, in the central conservation area, Hotel Gotham is housed in one of the city’s grandest, listed buildings rising up as in imposing castle of stone and steel. The hotel has 60 bedrooms and a two AA rosette restaurant, Honey. With a fabulous rooftop terrace, what better place to sip cocktails and watch the sun go down on a summer evening.

The Lowry is another stunning 5* venue in Manchester. With 165 beautiful bedrooms, and nine meeting rooms, including the Grand Ballroom which can seat up to 400 guests in a theatre style. The eight smaller rooms are all around 35 – 40 guests in each, but some can be combined to make bigger rooms, up to 80 guests in each. The hotel’s meeting space is very flexible.

Other big name brands in Manchester include a Novotel, Renaissance, Radisson Blu, Abode Manchester, Doubletree by Hilton, Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, Hilton and a Macdonald Hotel.

No feature on Manchester would be complete without mentioning the two stadiums in Manchester which as well as holding a combined 129,976 football fans – can also host a variety of meetings. Manchester United, Old Trafford has 20 suites, some with views of the pitch, and a further 155 syndicate rooms. The largest room can comfortable accommodate up to 1100 guests in a theatre style. With 5000 free car parking spaces, its easy to see why this is a popular events venue.

For something a little different; how about The Power Hall at the Science and Industry Museum. Have your event surrounded by the world’s largest collection of locomotive and steam mill engines. The Power Hall can seat 70 guests theatre style, or 100 for a dinner dance.

One of our team actually flew on the airplane featured in our next venue; The Concorde Hangar at the Concorde Conference Centre. Have your meetings under the wings of the world-famous aircraft. For up to 750 guests – this venue certainly gives you the ‘wow’ factor!

Getting around the city and surrounding areas is easy thanks to the fleet of buses, trams and trains available. The compact nature of the city centre also makes walking a popular choice.
